The biggest Istrian city, Pula, is located quite close too. This is the cultural and economic capital of Istria and is one of the oldest cities in Croatia.

Pula is where you can find various remnants of the long history of Istria. The best known historical monument in Pula is Amphitheatre (also known as Arena Pula), which was built in the 1st Century.
